I think ODST proved you don't HAVE to HAVE the Master Chief in a Halo game... and hence I look forward to playing as Lone Wolf... but that next halo game from Microsoft better have Chiefy!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteSomeone should save you from your horrid spelling skills. That said, Halo Reach is a great game to begin the series with. The addition of special powers you can use sparingly as well as the reintroduction of a pistol that can be zoomed in like any other scoped weapon (see Halo 1 for the last time this was available)makes Halo Reach a fresh game, but the same one you always loved. The introduction of new weapons is great, since they don't deem the old weapons obsolete. Overall a great game!

ReplyDeleteWell if you guys look carefully at the ending cinematics theres an easter egg where you pull the analog stick to the right in the Pelican scene where you can see the Chief in the cyro-chamber ready to start Halo 1 so technically the Chief's still in reach

ReplyDeleteYou moron John-117 and B-312 are not in any way the same. Noble 6 is a Spartan III and the Chief is a Spartan II, born many years before Noble Six, and with roughly 20 years combat experience over him.

But on the game that doctor person said Cortana had chosen you so that does point to you being master chief. :S and you do never actually see six die. and as for the books they are Irrelevant because there not written by bungie there for they are not the true story.

ReplyDeleteI didn't read the books or anything, so forgive my shallow insight; it's just that Reach takes place mere weeks before Halo: CE, and, as Keyes says in CE, they had to make a blind jump from Reach.

ReplyDeletenoble six is not master chief because six dies at the end of the mission lone wolf cause at beginning of the game you see a helmet on the ground which is six's and at the end of the game you see him drop his helmet before he gets killed and in fact in Dr.halsey's speech she even says "your victory was so close if only you could have lived to see it"

ReplyDeleteok heres the correct chronological timeline people: John was taken in at 6 years old as part of the spartan II project (project ORION)he trained with OTHER SPARTAN II's like Kelly and Fred and Isaac and Grace (if youve read the books). Spartan III's were created later, and due to the lack of funding, their armor was made slightly weaker than Spartan II armor (explained in the Ghost of Onyx) they were sent to attack a Covenant Shipyard on Pegasus, a suicide mission which only few survived. Lone Wolf was one of the remaining Spartan III's (if you've read Ghost of Onyx, some other spartan III's met up with Kelly and Doctor Halsey on Onyx after they met MC after Halo Combat Evolved). anyways, both spartan II's and III's were deployed on Reach, according to Halo: Fall of Reach. As to Cortana's "choosing" of either spartan, she had chosen the Cheif LOOOONG before reach. they had been together ever since the MJOLNIR armor was recreated to have energy shields. This is why in Halo Combat Evolved, Cortana talked so familiarily with the chief in the cutscene after you get to the bridge. Cortana only chose noble 6 to bring her to the Pillar of Autumn. the cutscene after the chapter "Lone Wolf" in Halo Reach when Cortana was saying how 6's courage will always be with Reach happens AFTER halo 3, when the war was over. The chief, after the original Halo explodes, gets off in a longsword, meets up with a few survivors in a pelican (including Johnson) then goes BACK to Reach, finds Halsey and some other Spartan II's in her underground Base (yes the same one that noble team left her in after taking cortana) then captures a covenant flagship and goes towards earth. during which, Halsey and Kelly 087 mysteriously leaves (they go to onyx and meet up with the Spartan III's there, and enter some kind of portal to the shield world.) The chief destroys a coventant "fueling center" right outside of human controlled space, then goes back to earth. Halo 2 happens, the chief leaves cortana on High Charity and goes back to earth riding on the forrunner ship, Dreadnaught. he apparently gets caputured for a while by the covenant for a while and escapes before halo 3 starts (theres a comic which i havent read which lapses between halo 2 and 3). Halo 3 then occurs, masterchief is seperated from the arbiter in the end and is seen floating in space. The Halo 4 trailer is the latest piece of information we have in the story. The Cheif is scene drifting towards an opening portal, which (in my speculation) is probably the same shield world that the remaining spartan III's from Onyx and Kelly and Halsey went. and there you go. thats halo so far. in conclusion, NOBLE 6 IS NOT FUCKING MASTERCHIEF.

ReplyDeleteMaster chief is not a clone, but noble 6 is in fact master chief. He was rebuilt and brought back to life. That is why he is a cyborg. That is why and the end they said we can rebuild you. what you saw in the ship is master chiefs armor that he uses. in many of the commercials and previews for the new halo 4 tv series it shows armor inside of cases just as the master chiefs armor was in a case at the end of reach.
