Are you Born Heavy? Pax Reach Panel 2010

Check out this Pax Panel with the Bungie staffers. They describe the origins of Reach from a design point of view, the planning and how the planet Reach is intended to be a character in the game.

References to the back story of the planet include that those born on it are known as Born Heavy as Reach is slightly bigger than the planet Earth. That also reminded me of how Engineers are named! (see novel Contact Harvest for explanation).

Rosenda and Tom where originally two other Spartans that were to appear as part of Team Noble - this was beacause the team was modeled on the Seven Samurai / Magnificent Seven example but they were ultimately cut.
