So there's even more Halo TV coming

Obviously I have been living under a rock as I had no idea until about 1 minute ago that film maker Ridley Scott is in charge of a Halo production for XBL.

This is a separate exercise to the TV show being produced by Steven Spielberg.

Word on the street is that actor Mike Colter is one of the first leads cast in the production. Given his colour, it would be too simple to assume he's playing Sergeant Johnson. Perhaps this is a film version of Joseph Staten's excellent Contact Harvest novel? Were it so easy.

Director Sergio Mimica-Gezzan is attached - he's noted for his work on Heroes and the modern Battlestar Galactica show.

I'm sure everyone is holding out for a a Blade Runner equivalent of a story in the Halo universe, I guarantee you Microsoft is keeping things close to home and we won't be going too far from the ranch.

Given this news and that Spielberg has a show in the wings, it's clear just how much MS and 343 are banking on Halo to get the Xbox One up and running as the entertainment console of choice.
